First Baptist Church of Pensacola, Fla., sent
a group of volunteers to help with the distribution
sites in Alabama. Together with Creel, they traveled
to Pass Road Baptist Church where they joined
the church's pastor, Keith Thrash, in setting
up a relief site for one of the poorest and hardest
hit areas of the city.
Some of the work being done at this site includes
providing a generator for refrigeration and lights
in the church fellowship hall and tarps to cover
damaged roofs.
John Mitchell, Alabama CBF missions coordinator,
assisted in delivering supplies to the area. "Please
tell everyone that everything they do helps bring
hope and light to the people here," Mitchell
said. "All the supplies donated, the money
given and the prayers offered make a huge difference."
The PASSPORT Camp staff in Birmingham, AL, volunteered
to purchase $5,000 worth of needed supplies and
deliever them to sites for CBF Florida. The picture
below shows a load of water being delivered to
thirsty people. Thanks, partners!
