Oti Bunaciu, Pastor of the Ferentari (Providence) Baptist
Church in Bucharest, Romania has been connected to Florida
since the early 90's. Since that time, the Providence
Baptist Church has become the world center of Gypsy
ministry, education and evangelism.
The Ruth School (www.projectruth.ro)
for Gypsy children was begun by Oti with encouragement
and help from T Thomas and CBF. Satellite Ruth Schools
are being placed throughout Romania.
The Gypsy Smith School of Evangelism, a training program
for Gypsy pastors and evangelists, is conducted at Providence.
Many Florida pastors have gone to Romania and taught
at this school of evangelism. Providence Baptist Church
also hosts the world-wide Gypsy radio programs which
are recorded and broadcast from there. Florida will
continue to have a direct connection with Oti, this
church, and their successful efforts with ministering
to Gypsies.
