Dr. Jim Shoopman can show your church how to develop a positive attitude toward evangelism that is in keeping with your unique character and values. A Friday evening, Saturday morning workshop is only a beginning, but it could be the beginning of something great for your church. Travel with Dr. Shoopman “In the Belly of the Whale With Jonah” in order to discover a new way to look at evangelism with integrity. This workshop comes with four sessions, the first on Friday night, and the other three on Saturday morning. Each session will be built around a somewhat humorous look at the Book of Jonah, and Jonah’s experience will serve as a rubric, (often on what not to do) and yet how God uses this cranky and contrary old prophet anyway.

Dr. Shoopman is pastor of Indigo Community Church in Daytona Beach, Florida, where he also works as Lecturer in Humanities, Ethics, and Comparative Religion at Embry-Riddle University. His undergraduate degree is from Stetson University, his M. Div. from New Orleans Seminary, and his Ph.D. in Humanities and Religious studies from Florida State University. He has a great desire to help all mainstream churches reclaim the high ground in outreach and evangelism.
