Initiative for Ministerial
Excellence
is an initiative of
the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship |

pastor's page |
- Delivering practical help to congregational leaders
across the country
- Peer Learning Networks: A Unique Opportunity
- Funded Sabbatical Leaves for Ministers
- Ministry Residencies for Seminary Graduates
This Initiative has been made possible by a generous
grant from the Lilly Endowment.
Isolation, transition, rapid social change -- does
this describe the context for your ministry? In
spite of changing paradigms, IME maintains that excellence
in pastoral ministry is marked both by a renewed commitment
to the historic tasks of ministry (proclamation, worship
leadership, and care for the community), as well as
these empowering virtues: vision, imagination, discernment
and relationship.
Valerie Burton is the Regional Coordinator for the
Initiative for Ministerial Excellence. She is the IME
contact person for Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.
If you would like more information about the Initiative,
please contact Valerie at 205-410-5381 or valerie@alabamacbf.org.
