Homeless Persons
TML collaborates with several partners to offer the
following aid and spiritual direction to persons in
crisis:
- Sunday worship, meal, showers, and clothing with
Central Baptist Church
- Biblically-based empowerment program
- Pastoral counseling
- Weekly Bible study
- Biblically-based 12 step group
- Monthly movie night
- Day storage of belongings
- Referrals
Families
Children At Risk
We work with at-risk children (K-6th grades) to improve
educational competence, to provide creative and recreational
activities, and to nurture and mentor loving relationships.
- After School Program – 30 weeks per year
- Tutoring
- Creative Arts
- Recreation
- Character Education
- Summer Camp for four weeks in July (M-F)
- "Getting to Know Jesus" classes taught
three times a year
- Field trips
Youth At Risk
We present ongoing events and programs with youth (7-12
grades) to nurture youth spiritually and develop leadership
skills.
- Swampers Youth Club – weekly

Families At Risk
We seek to nurture effective and faithful families in
the Overtown community by complementing other family
services offered in the area.
- Family Intervention and crisis management for families
of the young people in our children and youth programs.
- Exhaustive Referral Network including a resource
list and contacts of services available.
- Small group ministries to offer support and nurture
faith among the single parents and guardians in the
neighborhood
