Beautiful sandy beaches attract many tourists annually to these islands. But the inhabitants who live, work and play there year-round have some wonderful ministry opportunities among their churches. In 2009, Dr. Raymond Johnson, Coordinator for CBF of Florida and Dr. Doran McCarty renewed a partnership with Rev. John McIntosh in Mt. Hope Abaco to help train Baptist pastors on the island of Abaco. Pastors from CBF of Florida churches go to Abaco for at least a week and teach pastors every evening of the week in the Abaco Bible Institute.

Along with their pastors, some churches send other leaders of youth and adults to lead VBS and other activities for the children and youth. Rev. John McIntosh who is pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Mt. Hope and other Bahamian Baptist pastors have extended open invitations to CBF of Florida churches to consider missional engagement opportunities in the Bahama Islands.
