Mission Madness 2019 is a weekend retreat for youth groups interested in mission service, worship, fellowship and fun. Youth currently enrolled in grades 6-12 are invited to participate. Hendricks Avenue Baptist will serve as the event host. This year’s theme will be Seeking Transformation. One of the highlights of this weekend will be the hands-on mission experience that students will participate in all day on Saturday. The cost is $75/person. Feel free to invite other churches from your area to attend. Save the date and plan to participate! 

Lodging - Local Jacksonville churches are planning to do a "Disciple Now" style lodging at people's homes. Out of town attendees can check with Rachel regarding possible lodging at local churches or book lodging at the Wyndham Garden (4660 Salisbury Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256) for $89.00 a night. Contact Maureen at 904-562-5946 by January 25, 2019 to reserve your room. After January 25th the $89.00 per night rate cannot be guaranteed. If a cancellation must be made, please do so 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid being charged.

Pivot Cuba March 2019

Pivot is a learning immersion experience for lay leaders of all ages that includes six studies exploring God’s mission in the world ahead of 4 days of Caribbean cultural acquisition and reflection in Havana, Cuba. In 2019 the trip organizers will be, Alabama CBF, CBF Florida, CBF Virginia and CBF Latino Ministries, alongside our local hosts, the Fraternity of Baptist Churches in Cuba. This mission development event challenges thoughts and beliefs about God’s mission in the world and our role in that mission. The trip registration deadline is December 1, 2018.

The trip cost will be $950 + airfare. Up front costs will be $200 (non-refundable) which includes the purchase of a religious visa and administrative fee. All trip participants will need to do the following by December 1, 2018: 1) pay the up front cost, 2) submit the online registration form below, and 3) fill out the religious visa application and email it to rshapard12@floridacbf.org. Due to ground transportation constraints in Havana, we can only take 27 participants, so sign up today to secure your spot!

This form starts your process! Pivot Cuba is geared toward lay leaders. If you're a a professional minister, you are welcome to attend, but preference will be given to laity. Due to ground transportation constraints, we will only have space for 27 trip participants. To secure your spot, fill out the online registration form below, send in your religious visa application (email it to rshapard12@floridacbf.org), and pay the up front cost of $200. Once the Fraternity of Baptist Churches submits your religious visa application on December 7, we can no longer refund the up front costs. We'll contact you via email to keep you in the loop about the trip. PASSPORTkids 2019

CBF Florida is partnering with Passport Camps to bring PASSPORTkids to Florida again this summer. PASSPORTkids will be held at Stetson University in DeLand on June 12- 15, 2019. PASSPORTkids is 4-day, 3-night children's camp for children who have completed 3rd - 6th grade, filled with fun, faith-building programming and hands-on missions education. 

At camp, your children will discover God's love and practice being followers of Jesus through an active schedule of Bible study, missions education, recreation, and worship. Group leaders will be able to focus on engaging with children as they explore their faith without the burden of planning and logistics. Plus you will get to be at camp with other CBF Florida churches and get to know members of our CBF family. To see the PASSPORTkids camp promotional video, click here.
